What we publish, and who pays for it

The Coaching Tribune is published by Coachful, which makes software for coaches. That is stated on every page of this site and at the top of any page across our properties that ranks a product.

It is worth being specific about what the conflict does and does not touch.

What it changes

We have a commercial interest in coaches running better businesses, in the fragmented-tool-stack problem being visible, and in the coaching profession growing. Those interests shape which stories we find interesting, and no disclosure removes that.

Where a figure happens to support our product — the six to ten hours lost to tool coordination, for instance — we say so in the piece rather than letting it pass as neutral.

What it does not change

Every figure we publish carries its source and, where one exists, its sample size. Where the underlying evidence is a practitioner estimate rather than a study, it is labelled an estimate. Where no data exists, we say that instead of filling the gap.

The 2026 Coaching Business Report that most of this draws on aggregates third-party research: ICF, PayScale, Salary.com, ZipRecruiter, Glassdoor and others. It is not a Coachful survey and we do not present it as one.

How to hold us to it

Our software directory lists products alphabetically and picks nothing. Our buyer’s guide states its criteria before every pick and our own product loses most categories. Those ratios are published so they can be checked rather than trusted.

If any of that stops being true, it will be because the site stopped being worth reading.
